It also requires districts to implement a "multihazard emergency operations plan" and perform intruder detection audits every year. NEW YORK — It took 13 innings of baseball in 2023 for the San Francisco Giants to score their first run, and it didn’t take much longer for them to claim their first lead, too. After being shut out on Opening Day and blanked through the first three innings Saturday, Joc Pederson and Brandon Crawford woke up the offense in a big way, leading them to a 7-5 win that evened their record back to .500 after two games. It wasn’t without stress, though, as an erratic Camilo Doval allowed a run to score in the ninth inning and loaded the bases with two walks and committed two pitch clock violations before Crawford slickly fielded a chopper from Giancarlo Stanton to start a game-ending double play. Here’s how it went down.Power displayBefore first pitch, Crawford emerged from the dugout and headed to home plate. He was met there by Yankees ace Gerrit Cole, who is married to his sister, Amy, and the brothers-in-law exchanged the day’s lineup cards and posed for a photo.It...Marin County crash kills one on Highway 1 near Bolinas

LONDON (AP) — Former two-time world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua returned to his winning ways but only after an unconvincing display in a unanimous points victory over Jermaine Franklin on Saturday night. The British fighter had lost three of his last five contests, which included consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk, but he won again for the first time since 2020 after the judges scored the London bout 118-111, 117-111 and 117-111 in favor of Joshua.“I would have liked a knockout, but it’s important to get the win,” Joshua said.Joshua regularly landed with his left jab and caught Franklin on a number of occasions with his powerful right but the American heavyweight stood firm at the 02 Arena.A bizarre finish saw the 12th round appearing to end eight seconds early before Joshua pushed his head into Franklin and it sparked an angry reaction from Lorenzo Adams, the strength and conditioning coach of Franklin, who pushed Joshua. It was quickly settled and Joshua’s hand was ...Garver, Rangers stay hot to start season, rout Phillies 16-3
